TEACHING IDEAS AND EVIDENCE - USER GUIDE
This is the user guide for the Teaching Ideas and Evidence CD-ROM. It is available on a text file called README.txt which can be found in the main root directory of this CD-ROM.


Running this CD-ROM

Please insert CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.

The CD-ROM should auto run if your PC has autorun turned on.

If you do not have auto run turned on or if you are a Mac user, please proceed as follows:

Open up the contents of the CD-ROM using Explorer/Finder and double-click on the file 'index'


Navigating this CD-ROM

There are three ways in which users can navigate this CD-ROM. Users may wish to use a combination of all three.

Main navigation:
Clicking the large buttons under the Teaching Ideas and Evidence banner at the top of each screen will take you to that institution's chapter. Once you have clicked on a chapter, the tab colour will change to blue to indicate you are in the chapter or page indicated.

Quick link:
Clicking on the menu options to the right of the quick link options located underneath the red buttons at the top of the page will take you to the corresponding page within a chapter.The text colour of the page you are in is black, whereas the other pages available inside the chapter will be in grey.

Previous/Next:
The 'previous page' and 'next page' links at the bottom of each page.



Printing lesson activities

Each lesson activity on this CD-ROM can be opened in PDF and Microsoft Word format by clicking the 'Open as PDF' and 'Open as Word' icons located at the bottom left of each activity's page.

For Printing Word Documents: Click the word icon, wait for Word to load, then select File, Print then OK.

For Printing PDF Documents: Click the PDF icon, wait for Adobe to load, then select File, Print then OK.

Note: Mac users will need to click the file name once the PDF or Word folder has opened. It may be necessary to close an additional browser window to return to the CD-ROM.
